Ike was surrendered to a high kill shelter, in Texas, on his 9th birthday. He had done nothing wrong, his former owner just didn't want to care for him anymore. They were kind enough to allow Ike to keep some of his favorite toys, a bed, and his food bowl so he wouldn't feel stressed out when his time came.
He is a very chill and calm dog without a care in the world. Car rides, dog parks, living room, cats, birds... He doesn't care he just wants to lounge out and take in life. He does have arthritis and requires room to move around so he can stretch out his old joints. He also prefers to keep his toys and food to himself so a home that can feed him separately and monitor his playtime is recommended.
